Description

Handpainted Silk cover-up in shades of black yellow and cyan. It's just that touch of color your outfit needs!

Well if you're looking for something unique for yourself or as a gift for someone you love you've found the perfect thing.
This silk cover-up has been singularly hand painted and it's unique and exclusive.
I love silk shawls, a silk shawl is the perfect accessory. It can dress up any ensemble. It can make a dress look elegant or casual just by tying it in different ways, making it the perfect addition to any wardrobe.

It will make a particular and uncommon gift that will be definitely appreciated.

Oh! And it's ready to ship!

****OK GREAT TELL ME MORE***

This hand painted cover-up is not a mass produced printed item, it's not printed with any machinery but it's been painted by me, with my brush, in front of the stretcher and no single silk shawl I paint is the same as another one.
You can be sure that nobody will have this particular piece of art as it's been painted exclusively for you.

I paint on shawls once they have been already hand rolled (with a needle, one by one, by hand!) and then fixed on the stretcher. Once I've finished painting a shawl it's not even close to be ready tho! Because the color needs to be fixed so that it will stay on the silk forever. I do it like this: I take the shawl and then I wrap it in absorbent material. Then I cook it in a special steamer for 4 hours. Once the 'cooking' is done the colors will be awesome!

****WHAT ABOUT SIZE AND OTHER TECHNICAL STUFF??****

. it's 100% pongee silk, so thin and almost immaterial. it's so very weightless
. it's about 90 cm x 90 cm (or 35'' x 35'' approx)
. the scarf has hand rolled edges. hand sewn. with a needle.
. it's painted in a pet free, smoke free, clean environment
. hey, it needs to be washed a couple of time during production process, I use a lavender soap for it.

*****OK BUT HOW DO I WASH IT? WON'T I RUIN THE COLORS???****

Well, the fact that it's hand painted doesn't make the colors more delicate than the ones that are industrially printed. The colors will stay where they are, no matter what.
So you'll just have to worry about the silk part. And silk is delicate indeed. You'll clean and treat those shawls pretty much the same way you clean and treat any other silk garment: hand washed in lukewarm water with a small amount of detergent. You can iron with a low setting while the silk is still slightly damp.

****IT'S A GIFT!*****

Oh remember to tell me that! I usually enclose a receipt with prices inside the package! But if you tell me not to I won't! The cover-up will already come in a neat package and if you need me to add a card in it don't esitate to ask!

Returns & exchanges

It is important that you are pleased with your product so if there's any problem please contact me as soon as you receive the parcel and we'll try to find a solution.

Shipping policies

All items will be dispatched from Italy within 1-5 working days. Custom instead can take a long time to process packages, please consider that.

We will of course post internationally but please remember that customs often apply extra charges I cannot be responsible of. Please check with your country's custom office to understand what the fee might be and other additional costs as they vary widely from country to country. Inside the EU there should be no charge from Italy.

I try to send tracked packages but unfortunately for some countries from Italy the package is not fully traceable.

If you have special instructions, please contact me and I'll do my best to meet your need. If the purchase is a gift I can easily send everything to the recipient.
