Description

Puerto Rico was once inhabited by the Taino Indians long before Columbus arrived in 1493. They were primarily farmers and fishermen. After the arrival of the Spanish conquistadores, the Taino population was wiped out by famine, disease, and war within twenty years. Today , the Taino’s blood is part of the Puerto Rico heritage and through research and archaeological digs, today there is a clearer idea of their culture and contributions to society.

Also one of the most common symbols are the coqui taino. The Puerto Rican coquí is a very small - tiny - tree frog about one inch long. The coquíes begin to sing when the sun goes down at dusk. Coquíes sing all night long until dawn when they stop singing and head for the nest. Puerto Ricans love their coquíes! (In Puerto Rico all coquíes are called coquí even though not all sing ''co-quí'').

It adjustable and could be put in different size. Also perfect for a gift. I try my best to make sure it just right by putting a lot of attention to detail.

The size is shown on the photo.

NOTE:
The product is completely handmade no mold use. The necklace cant get wet, it will cost damage to the item (pendant). Take off while doing sport, bath, etc.

Thank you for visiting my shop.
