#68 Organize a salsa contest. This can be organized in a multitude of ways, however here are some suggestions for making sure it’s a success:
Make sure to include the details for the contest in your invitations (or at least inform you guests in enough time for them to do a little research…to ensure the highest quality of entries.)
Encourage EVERY guest to bring something…even if it’s simple.
Make sure to have LOTS of tortilla chips on hand. You aren’t going to want to run out of these…
Offer different categories…not just the hottest. With so many incredibly spicy hot sauces on the market now, it doesn’t take much skill to whip up some blended tomatoes and put a few drops of Scorned Woman in there (yep, there’s really a hot sauce named that and it will burn a hole through a lead pipe, too…) Other categories to include are Most Creative, Best Tasting and Most Popular (among all the guests.)
Make sure that those judging can handle the heat of different kinds of salsas. Additionally, remember that water won’t help fight a burning tongue from spicy food…instead try eating more chips (WITHOUT salsa, of course…)PLEASE NOTE FOR ALL PHYSICAL ITEMS SHIPPED THIS HOLIDAY SEASON (this does not apply to our digital items such as Bingo sets, etc.) - We are committed to honoring our posted processing times, even during the very busy holiday time (Nov-Dec.)
