Pair of Diamonds Rubber Stamp by Brown Pigeon and Tusk and Cardinal, aka Bird in the Hand : A special artist collaboration

Description

As part of my exclusive collaboration with Tusk and Cardinal, this Pair of Diamonds rubber stamp features Lindsay Swearingen's original artwork with the look of my hand-carving, translated to a beautiful traditional red rubber stamp. The stamp is mounted to a Maple wood block and hand-stamped with its design and our signature "Bird in the Hand" collaboration insignia. The entire process of bringing this stamp to life was collaborative effort down to assembling them in our studios!

These beauties can be stamped on anything from personal cards, tags and gift wrap to wooden boxes, fabric bags or terra cotta pots! What will you make? Be sure to share and tag us @tuskandcardinal, @brownpigeon and #birdinthehand!

Stamp measures: approximately 1.5" x 1.75"

♥ HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY STAMP?
Most Brown Pigeon stamps are now carried in stock and ready to ship. Order processing time is 1-3 business days. For CUSTOM stamps, it takes about 4-6 business days to make the stamp and provide a proof. Custom work begins after payment and the design have been submitted. After the proof is approved the stamp will be completed (attached to wood mount) which can take up to one more day. Please see shipping section above for details on expected shipping times.

Rush services are available if you need your stamp quickly. Just let me know!

♥ ARE THE STAMPS MOUNTED TO WOOD?
Brown Pigeon is happy to say that all of our stamps are mounted to a Maple wood backing. The backing is a plain block of wood that gets attached to the stamp with a strong adhesive foam. The print of the stamp will be sealed onto the the wood and packaged in a lovely gift box/bag for storing (and showing off!).

♥ IS THE STAMP EASY TO USE?
It's very easy and fun! Your stamp will come with care information and printing tips. And of course you can contact me anytime with questions on printing, etc.

♥ WHAT KIND OF INK SHOULD I USE?
Brown Pigeon recommends pigment ink pads like the ColorBox brand that can be purchased in the shop. You can also use archival dye-based pads which dry instantly. Pigment ink dries a little slower and can be used with embossing powders. Another ink that is fun to use is water-based block printing ink. You can roll out the ink onto a flat surface (like a piece of plexi-glass) with a brayer (a rubber roller). Roll the ink onto the stamp and print as you would regularly. This method can be a little messy and take a little practice, but it's lots of fun and produces a solid print. I recommend this method if you're printing with a large stamp and/or printing a lot at one time.

♥ WHAT IS THE SMALLEST YOU CAN MAKE MY STAMP?
That depends on the amount of detail in your image. A simple shape, let's say a heart, could be made as small as 1/2", but most stamps should be at least 1". If you have fine lines in your design/image, they cannot be carved finer than 1/16".

♥ WHAT IS THE SMALLEST YOU CAN MAKE TEXT ON MY STAMP?
A good rule of thumb for most fonts is that the height of a lowercase "e" should be 1/4" or taller. Website URLs, long passages of text, and addresses are not ideal unless your stamp is big enough to accommodate the size requirement.

♥ I HAVE AN IDEA FOR A STAMP BUT NO IMAGE YET...CAN YOU DESIGN IT FOR ME?
I would be happy to help you bring your idea to life. With a BFA in Fine Arts and a passion for design, I would love to work with you and create something unique and special. My stamp prices do NOT include design fees. Each design is unique, so please contact me for a quote. My prices are very reasonable and I would be happy to give you information.

♥ I LIKE ONE OF THE LOGOS IN YOUR LISTING...CAN YOU JUST PUT MY NAME ON IT?
No. The images listed in my "Logo" listings are actual logo designs used by businesses that I have worked with in the past. They have either worked hard to create the logo themselves or paid a designer to create it for them. Please keep in mind that a logo is a shop's identity, pride and joy. Thank you for understanding!
