Description

A silk necktie is transformed into a beautiful smocked and beaded cuff style bracelet. Unique, upcycled, soft and comfortable. Perfect to wear with jeans, skirts, out on the town, or on any occasion. Bracelet closes with a snap, measures approximately 9" long end to end, is 2"wide, and will fit wrists up to 8" around. Made with glass beads and is backed with grosgrain ribbon. Very little metal comes in contact with the skin, which is beneficial to those with allergies.

I have always loved and admired the silk fabric used to make men's neckties. One day while out thrifting, the beautiful colors and sheen of the necktie rack caught my eye. I was struck by the notion of rescuing these neglected and discarded strips of luxury and creating new and fabulous items from them. I also love English smocking and beads, and in a burst of inspiration, I combined my love for all three. Voila! Bracelets!
