Description

This is a new design I came up with while trying to see if I could come up with a new design. It doesn't always work that way, so, Yay!

I had a bunch of tiny leaf shapes sitting around that I had cut at various times and never put to use. I've used this particular shape in lots of designs (http://etsy.me/1esL3vb), but started to wonder if I could find a totally different way to manipulate them. After bending, folding and stringing them into all sorts of configurations, I finally struck on this cool little ball shape. It's fun, kinetic and interestingly structural.

These baubles feature the Chinese colors of heaven, good fortune and fulfillment, so are both lovely and lucky! They are approximately .5" (12mm) round. Each component is hand punched, edges finished smooth, formed and then strung on rigid German silver eye pins and finished with surgical stainless steel French hook wires. They hang approximately 2" (46 mm) from the ear. Each pair is made to order and unique, so please allow for slight variations with your particular pair.

All adaptive reuse pieces come to you neatly displayed on an upcycled card, wrapped and ready for gift-giving.

Please contact me with any questions.

I've been making contemporary jewelry from decorative tins for nearly a dozen years and still love absolutely everything about the material. Searching for them in thrift shops and antique stores. Breaking them down to add to my stash. Finding the perfect piece of the tin to create an intriguing necklace. The fact they come pre-loaded with so much color, imagery and typography. Lately I've even learned to love removing and distressing the finish to create totally different looks. My work has been featured in Art Jewelry Magazine and is for sale in boutiques across the country. Shipping policies

I generally ship via USPS with a delivery confirmation and insurance if the package is valued over $100. If you prefer a different method, please get in touch with me PRIOR TO PURCHASING so I may properly adjust your shipping information and costs.

As a matter of philosophy, I don't overly package my pieces. Generally, I wrap the piece in glassine and place it in a kraft pillow box with a natural wired ribbon. I recently upgraded to eco friendly bubble mailers that are designed to be reused at least once. If you're purchasing an item as a gift, I am happy to include a note or gift tag with your sentiments. Just leave me a message in the "Notes to Seller" box or contact me once you've made your purchase.

Additional policies

If you see a style you like, but want different colors, or have an interest in a specific theme (like The Beatles, Hello Kitty, Looney Toons, Elvis, etc) just ask. I'm happy to create custom pieces just for you. Email me at christine [AT] adaptivereuser.com
or convo me and we can get started.

Wholesale is an option for certain lines. Contact me for specifics and a current schedule.
