Wood, Salt Cellar with Lid and Spoon

Free Shipping

This stunning oval salt cellar is handmade from a beautiful spalted maple tree that had fallen down in a storm two years ago. The unusual veining and swirl of the rings in the grain is unique for maple and makes for a truly one of a kind piece.

The salt cellar has been sanded, soaked in walnut oil and left to cure for a strong, long-lasting finish.

Includes a matching lid (that fits securely) and a serving spoon that rests in a carved out nook so it can stay in the cellar with the lid on. Any chef would love to have this artisan salt cellar displayed on their counter!

We work exclusively with discarded wood, the majority of which spalted. Caught at just the right time, spalted wood is magnificent to look at, lasts for generations and ensures that each piece is one-of-a-kind.

If this is a gift, please let me know if you want it wrapped at no extra charge. Just leave me a note on check out.

The cellar is 6" high and 3" wide. Sizes are approximate because sometimes there is a defect in the wood that needs to be turned away.

These are made to order, the cellar will take 1-2 weeks to complete.

You can also order a cellar in different wood: Copper Beech, Spalted Maple, Apple, Cherry, Black Walnut, Regular Walnut and Copper Beech Root.
