Description

This gecko has found a home, but we can make a similar one just for you. Convo us about what you'd like and we can send you pictures of pattern choices.

An adorable microwavable/freezable gecko. These heat pads are made of soft fleece and filled with corn and generate a moist heat after being heated. Simply place in the microwave for about 2-3 minutes depending on your microwave and enjoy warmth for up to 2 hours. These are perfect for cold winter nights, as heat packs for sore muscles, menstrual cramps, or even just to help get warmed up on a cold day!

This gecko can also go in the freezer to help cool you down on a hot day or apply to a sore muscle for some help with pain relief!

The gecko's outer skin can be washed by taking the corn-filled insert out of the fleece skin and washing the skin in the washer and either laying flat to dry or drying in the dryer on low. It can also be spot cleaned without removing the outer skin as long as you take care not to saturate the inner corn-filled sack .

Creativerays critters are long lasting! In our family we have been using the same critters for over 6 years on a nightly basis throughout the winter, placing them in our beds at night to warm them up before crawling in. They stay warm a long time, which feels especially nice if placed against you while you sleep. We have not had to replace any part of the critters in all that time, not even the corn.

HEATING INSTRUCTIONS: You do not have to remove the cover to heat your Creativerays Critter. Place your critter in the microwave for no more than 2 minutes the first time to see how well your microwave heats it. If you would like it warmer for the next time, add no more than 30 seconds to the time the NEXT time you heat it. This should ensure that you do not overheat your critter. After a few heatings, you will have the precise time needed to heat your critter to your desired temperature dialed in and can then use that time for years to come so long as you are using the same wattage microwave. Do not heat the critter up more than once in a 24-hour period - the corn must be totally cooled down before reheating.

FREEZING INSTRUCTIONS: The critters can also be placed in the freezer for a few hours to use as a cold pack. They will not freeze like ice or an ice pack, but will be very cool and can be placed directly against the skin. Place your critter in a plastic bag if you want to protect it from freezer smells. A plastic grocery bag tied shut works well. Do not place your critter in the freezer until it has cooled down entirely after heating, and do not heat it until it has returned to room temperature after freezing.

WARNING: Do not use Creativerays Critters with people who are not able to communicate or move away from the critter if it is too hot for them, such as infants, the elderly, or people who are disabled. Denser critters slowly radiate heat, so they may not feel hot immediately upon removal from the microwave, but within a few minutes may feel quite hot. Do not consume the corn.

Creativerays Critters are crafted in our smoke-free home.

If seeing our adorable critters inspires you to create your own that's great! But please develop your own pattern and do not copy ours. We put a lot of time into creating our patterns, with a lot of trial and error to get the desired result.

This has been one of the best experiences I've had with a seller on etsy so far. I had shipping complications with my order and Gwen fixed them with no problems. I had another order shipped out within days. I'm sorry I didn't get the personalized card in the first package but just knowing it was included makes a huge difference. I will absolutely be purchasing from them again. Thanks again for everything.

Gwen Ray at Creative Rays is a great person to work with. She put together a custom order for a green dragon for my Granddaughter and it came off without a hitch. This is a fine family business to work with and would recommend them without question. Good communication, multiple choices, fast shipping. Thanks Gwen. She loves her new Dragon.
