The carnival is such a fun and lively place. Eli has been exploring all day and is just about tired out but he has had such a great time! First he threw a ring around a milk bottle and won himself a sweet little teddy bear. He enjoyed all the treats he could possibly eat (just look at his tummy). Then, being such a darling little elephant, he got some balloons to take home to his mom. Eli is already dreaming of next year when the carnival will come back to town!

Eli the elephant is made of needle felted wool. His neck and arms are wired so he is gently posable. Eli holds a tiny needle felted teddy bear in his arm and balloons crafted of needle felted wool and wire in his other hand. Eli has glass eyes and finely detailed features, right down to his belly button! The entire piece including balloons stands 5.25" tall. Eli is affixed to a painted wooden base sprinkled with silvery antique German glass glitter. The base is rimmed in the red and white Swiss dotted ribbon.

My felties are not intended for play due to their delicate nature and small parts. They would, however, surely enchant any child while perched safely on a shelf. Needle felting is a process of matting together wool fibers using a special barbed needle. This involves poking the piece thousands of times and it takes many hours for me to complete each piece. I am certain you will feel the care and love in each felty and hope each one brings the same joy to its owner that it has brought me while creating it.
