This is the 1933 Fourth Edition

391 pages jam-packed full of some pretty amazing information and 25 B&W illustrations.
There's a large fold-out section concerning the Control Of Communicable Diseases including the prevention and treatment of:
Chicken Pox
Diptheria
Measles
German Measles Mumps
Infantile Paralysis
Scarlet Fever
Small Pox
Septic Sore Throat
Whooping Cough

There are Lots of basic recipes for invalids
and...
How to place a proper outhouse or privy so it doesn't pollute your wellwater
Why flies are the more dangerous beasts on Earth
How to care for wounds and breaks
Proper use of medicines
How to keep the home healthful and sanitary
Personal hygiene
Baby care
Bathing and bed changing for the sick

...and tons and tons of other topics far too numerous to mention. Fascinating reading for a new med student or nurse, as so much of the information in this book is flat-out Wrong.

This book is in fair condition with a scuffed spine and a few dog eared pages; mostly at the very beginning. The foldout is torn, but still intact. Overall the pages are still crisp and clean. This book looks like it's pretty much been sitting on a shelf for the last 75 years.
