Description

Halston made his name because he made beautiful things. He believed that women should be beautiful in a clean, uncluttered way. ( He designed Jacki Kenedy's pillbox hat). Sometimes it is possible to put on an item, as simple as a scarf, and feel good about yourself. I don't know why, but it is true.
Especially if it has the name Halston on it, and you didn't have to pay an arm and a leg.

This is a fabulous study in beige and whire. Notice how the french silk design picks up and echos the rose motif. Brilliant! Thought went into this scarf: it was designed. It was designed with a reason and a purpose.

It is a high quality silk with a good hand, and the design is classic and versatile. What more can you ask for...oh yeah, the Halston name right there, staring at everyone.

It is a long oblong. It is french silk, it has a handrolled hem. 56 by 13 inches

About Halston:
Halston achieved great fame after designing the pillbox hat Jacqueline Kennedy wore to her husband's presidential inauguration in 1961, and when he moved to designing women's wear, Newsweek dubbed him "the premier fashion designer of all America." When hats fell out of fashion, Halston moved on to designing clothing, this was made possible by Estelle Marsh, a Texas millionairess from Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Marsh was his sole financial backer during this critical time of development. He opened his first boutique on Madison Avenue in 1968. Halston's boutique drew celebrity clients like Babe Paley, Anjelica Huston, Gene Tierney, Lauren Bacall, Margaux Hemingway, Elizabeth Taylor, Bianca Jagger and Liza Minnelli (both Jagger and Minnelli would become close friends).

What goes around, comes around.
Love of quality and beauty from the past is happiness.
