Description

Modern day Flintknapping uses the same type of tools and techniques that the ancients used to make tools needed for their survival.
Today we make stone tools to represent works of Art. Some folks use these modern tools to hunt, skin and butcher animals. However most people collect these items for display purposes.
I have been Flintknapping for 12 years.

Utility Knife Length is 6"

2 1/2" long Blade is made of Missouri High Plateau Flint. Very nicely flaked. The blade is attached with an Industrial Adhesive and wrapped with Artificial Sinew. The Douglas Fir handle is nicely hand crafted, fits the hand well and enhances the tannish/brown blade. Handle is about 3 3/4 " long. The stand is made of Chola Cactus mounted to a nicely polished piece of Picture Jasper. The handle is finished with Tung Oil. In addition a small Sombrero hangs from the top of the Chola stand.

This item will ship only to United States and its territories.
