Description

Ceramic stoneware vase with Australian native flannel flower design. Made by me using a combination of slab building and wheel throwing techniques.

This is the medium size in my range of Flannel Flower vases - 16.5cm high x 8.5cm diameter.
Glazed in a teal glossy glaze with a white interior. In some light the colour looks green, in other light it looks blue.

The flannel flower pattern you can see under the glaze is a vintage design taken from an Australian Federation (c1915) pane of textured window glass. I reproduce this design by impressing it into the clay surface, thus making an exact copy.

This vase is fired to stoneware temperature, making it non-porous, chip resistant, and of course, water-tight.

IF I HAVE OVER ESTIMATED THE ACTUAL POSTAGE BY MORE THAN $4 I WILL REFUND THE DIFFERENCE IMMEDIATELY AFTER SHIPPING.

Returns and exchange details
I do not accept exchanges so please choose carefully.

Here are the situations where I will refund your purchase;
1) I will do refunds in situations where the item sent is different to what you have purchased, ie the item is not as described in the listing in terms of size, colour or form, allowing for the fact these are individual handmade items and will have small variations from piece to piece.

2) I will refund if the item is broken in the post on its way to you. I take extreme care to pack purchases securely so they arrive intact and have not yet had a breakage but if the worst does happen you will be refunded the purchase price (+ shipping). I may ask that you send me a photo of the damaged item, preferably at the point of unpacking. I will not refund if the item has been damaged by the recipient after receiving the package.

3) I will refund if the item never arrives due to being lost in the post. However, I will not refund if it is lost due to an incorrect address being provided, failure of the recipient to collect or receive the package, or failure of the recipient to act on customs notices.

Shipping policies

I take great care to ensure your purchase is securely packed. I employ a 'double boxing' technique - the pottery is bubble wrapped, than put in a close fitting box (or cardboard wrap), then put in a larger box with padding between the boxes. I recycle packing materials as much as possible. I have not had a breakage yet.

If I have charged more than the actual postage cost by more than $4, I will refund the difference immediately after shipping (allowing for packing and handling costs if required). Shipping costs reflect the nature of heavy and fragile items. I use Australia Post to ship orders unless requested otherwise. If you would like insurance or registered post, please convo me to discuss prices. Unless specifically requested otherwise, I use standard postal service. I base my estimates on the Australia Post online calculator - you can view this here; http://auspost.com.au/products-and-services/postage-assessment-calculator.html

I make every effort to post your order within 2 working days of receiving payment. I usually manage it the next working day.

Note to buyers outside Australia: Any customs and tax expenses are incurred at the buyers expense. Please allow plenty of time for delivery and extra time at Xmas. Keep in mind that Australia is far away from most of the rest of the world and delivery may take a little longer than you are used to. Times to the US for example vary greatly from approx. 7 to 28 days. I cannot be responsible for any delay to delivery caused by customs and postal processes.
