The Crown Staffordshire Porcelain Company was well known through the 20th century for its traditional bone china and ceramic ware - often with floral-themed decoration - in a wide range from vases and figurines to tea and dining sets.

In the 1960s it launched a "diffusion brand " (as we might now say) - Crown Sussex - for bone china ware whose designs were more in tune with the new "swinging" decade.

So: these very pretty tea cups have a classic shape - but their "groovy" floral design (see photos) is more graphic, more "modern" than the more naturalistic designs found on Crown Staffordshire ware.

Needless to say, these Crown Sussex pieces are relatively hard to find these days, and more distinctive because of that.

These five pretty cups and their saucers are all in very good condition for their age - with no chips, cracks or glazing.

The saucers measure 14.5 cm in diameter x 2.5 cm. The cups - 8.5 cm x 7 cm high. Altogether the set weighs just under 1500 g. Any questions, please ask.

We are able to ship items outside the UK - but, if you are interested, please contact us so that we can agree the appropriate courier and cost for you.
