Description

This rare rocking horse was made by Hans Bruhn between 1951-1960.
It is made of Plattinol.
It measures 4 1/2"L x 3 1/2"H.
Hans Bruhn was not in operation for a very long time. See notes below.
It is stamped Hans Bruhn & Co. Hamburg 32403 See photo #5.
There is no base on this item which means it would be best in making a hollow piece of candy.
I could not find a rating on this item.

The rating of chocolate molds: Page 60 in “Chocolate Moulds: A History and Encyclopedia” by Judene Divone copyright 1987
Molds listed “R” are Rare: due to age, the small number produced, the use of multiple pieces, or are designs rarely found in this country.
All other molds are rated by letter and number, from A-1 to D-4. The letter A is the highest rating, D the lowest; then further defined by the number.
The ratings take into consideration the type of mold (common or unique), its age, the manufacturer (styling and detail), the subject matter, and the number produced.

Bruham: Hamburg, Germany. Founded by Alfred Reiche and Hans Bruhn. They manufactured chocolate molds made from Plattinol.. Alfred Reiche died in 1959. Hans Bruhn went out of business in 1965.Walter Horlein bought what was left of this business.

All of the molds I sell have been used in a candy making business between 1955-1985.
Signs of use are visible where the clips are put on and taken off around the sides.
Two to four clips will be included with the mold, depending on the size of the mold.

I will offer a refund within 3 days of the item's being delivered to you. I do NOT pay for the return shipping. All items are sold "as is". Please read the description and view the photos carefully. For further information, please contact me BEFORE purchasing an item. I describe each item as best as I can. These items are VINTAGE and may have flaws due to prior use or manufacturer defect. Many Tupperware items appear "brand new" but some of them have been at least used for display purposes. Candy molds were used repeatedly in a candy store setting so they all show signs of use. I describe the condition of each one as I post online. Any questions, please contact me.
