5) I want your table to be the perfect fit for your home. Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or special considerations before ordering.

Our hand-hewn tables add an elegant rustic character to your living room or hallway. Can you feel the history, the effort, that went into making each cut as you run your hand over the oiled surface of the table? The perfect combination of modern style and organic subtle touch. A great way to display and serve in your home.

PIPE LEGS
Choose either H-Style or Angled Feet pipe style. The feet on the legs have a spread from 6 to 16" depending on which one you choose. Please specify in the Leg Style Variations box at the top. The bottom of all the pipe legs has a cap that will allow you to adjust individual leg length to accommodate uneven floors. The leg standard color is a finish called dark hammered bronze. We also offer Black. Make a note when ordering if you would like black legs.

WOOD FINISHES
We use a very tough, low VOC, non toxic Enduro-Var that binds the wood fibers. I mix my own dyes to tint the wood and I am happy to custom mix a shade to work with your own furnishings, floors, woodwork etc... Please inquire if interested.

SHIPPING
This table will ship disassembled via FedEx for a flat $76. Hardware is included and holes are pre-drilled. Assembly is simple with a Phillips screwdriver. Please inquire about shipping longer tables.

HISTORY OF OUR WOOD
This lumber is trimmed from massive hand-hewn beams salvaged from old barns in Wisconsin and Iowa. Amish crews disassemble the barns and salvage as much as they can. Most of these barns were in use for over 100 years before being obsolesced by modern farming practices. They saw farming change from horse power to diesel power. As the culture changed so too do the buildings that support it. This wood was cut from old growth trees in the 19th century by hand saw and ax then shaped by hand with adzes and muscles. I try to present as much of that old effort as I can. The wood in these boards must be as old as this country.

We have smoothed and flattened the top surface so you can set glasses on it. Each piece IS DIFFERENT and has its own story and history. Like all reclaimed, upcycled, repurposed and recycled products there are flaws and nicks, axe marks and knotholes. It's not Ikea.

Made to the tee, I got exactly what I saw in the pictures. The craftmanship is really good. But I like it. I wish I had said that I don’t want the chop-marks on the table top, because I didn’t like them in the pictures and I don’t like them on the product, but I never really thought to say that out loud, so it’s my fault. The shop owner is responsive (seems to check emails/Etsy regularly morning and night) and professional. It was good coordinating with him.

Excellent communication to make sure the size, design, coloring, etc was exactly as I saw it in my mind's eye....even better was that it was even more spectacular in person than what I thought up. Chris shared the history of the wood and the markings and what the significance was. This is truly an heirloom piece and the history of the particular beam my table was crafted from made me feel a part of this table and not just another piece of furniture I needed in my new home. A thousand thanks! It makes me want to find ways to order other unique items for my home!

Console table tops come any length up to 7' long. These are cut right off the logs so the widths vary. Each piece will have a variation of an inch or more in depth. Happy to do Extra wide or Extra narrow, Use the Click the "Ask a Question" box above first for pricing and availability.
Yes but we should talk about it first. Stock is limited so convo your needs and I will investigate. I can make tables up to 8' 11"long but the shipping cost will be different so please include your zip code when emailing us. Click the "Ask a Question" box above to contact us.
Not really. I have a limited number of pieces on consignment at local galleries. I can't really do high volume production. I do work with designers at a trade discount, please convo.
Yes. As the tables get taller we increase the the structure under the table. We offer several different heavier leg options here:
https://www.etsy.com/your/shops/SpokenWoodDesign/tools/listings/631167182
Or, just convo your request and we can talk about it.
You bet. Message us through Etsy or call me at 608-606-2175, I am in the central time zone.
To simplify I have tried to include a standard charge of $76 for shipping and handling. Some items just don't conform to this simplification. Click the "Ask a Question" box above and I'll find out for you. I will need your zip or postal code and the size of the item you are inquiring about.
To be fair to my valued clients, I make these tables in the the order that they are purchased and can't accommodate rush orders. I sometimes have a few tables in stock and ready to ship. Message for availability.
