Description

If you're "not a lipstick person," this glossy lip balm is for you!! This formula glides on smoothly and provides a nice shine as well as sheer color. It is light and moisturizing, not goopy, waxy, or sticky.

We formulate all our lip balms with high-quality, natural, nourishing ingredients. As much as possible, we strive to source ingredients that are organic and fair-trade. Each .15 oz tube is quality-checked and handled with utmost care from start to finish.

Ingredients: beeswax, organic mango butter, organic coconut oil, avocado oil, organic jojoba oil, organic castor oil, mica, iron oxide.

Here's the skinny on our ingredients:

Beeswax: Works as a “barrier cream.” Beeswax is included in our products to function as a natural alternative to traditional mineral oil-based ingredients such as petroleum jelly. Beeswax is harvested from honeycombs and lightly processed to become usable in cosmetics and skin care products; it lends a sometimes smoky aroma to our products.

Mango butter: full of essential fatty acids, this butter is certified organic, expeller pressed, creamy and dreamy! Mango butter nourishes and moisturizes skin and is a luxurious addition to any skincare item.

Coconut oil: We use organic, unrefined coconut oil. This type of coconut oil has a melting point of 76 degrees F, so products with this ingredient may melt in warm environments (and may soften if kept in your pocket!). If the lip balm melts, just place it in a cool area and it should harden again. This nourishing oil is resistant to rancidity, and contains a saturated fat called lauric acid.

Jojoba oil: a natural-beauty powerhouse! This luxurious oil is actually a liquid wax, expeller-pressed from the jojoba seed. It mimics the skin’s sebum (oil), resulting in excellent absorption and moisturization. It is highly resistant to oxidation and rancidity, yielding a molecularly stable substance with a long shelf life.

Castor oil: We usually add just a touch of castor oil for shine and "slip" in our lip balms. Its humectant properties draw moisture to the skin.

We tint our lip balms with natural mica (mineral) powders and currently offer nine color options. See pictures for specific color names.

We also make body butter with some of the same nourishing oils and butters as our lip balms.
