Our Picasso Triggerfish Intarsia is made from approximately 40 segments of wood and 8 different species. Dimensions are approximately 12" by 6.5". A hanger is attached to the back to easily hang on the wall.
Intarsia is a mosaic art form that uses small segments of wood to make an image. We use varying depths and carving techniques to create a 3-D illusion. Each segment is carefully hand-cut on a scroll saw then individually shaped. After a quality check, the segments are glued together, attached to a backing board for added strength, and a hanger is added to the back. No stains or dyes are used in the creation process. The work is finished with several coats of clear lacquer.
The exact colors, grain, and wood types will vary some but the design will remain the same. We will send you a photo of your finished item prior to shipment. If you have specific requests, minor design changes, or interested in a new custom design, just message us with your request.
