Old Chinese probably 19th century wooden door panel. Handmade using exotic hardwood. This door panel is believed to be from an abandoned temple when the valley it was in was flooded out due to the construction of a dam. The door is constructed with wooden panels with an open geometric latticework design on the upper portion. The upper 'window' portion is constructed using peg or dowels. The wood has an aged appearance with a wonderful patina in shades of browns and taupes with striations of creamy beige some black and other hues. The door is of considerable height and measures 106"x 25" or 9 feet by 2 feet, it is
approx. 2" deep/thick. The open lattice work is about 44" in length.
Could be used as a room divider, screen or simply an artistic wall panel piece. A great addition to an Asian or ethnically inspired room or home.
We will include the angle iron hanging hardware.
