A lucet is a very ancient tool, used for making ropes that seems to go back to the civilization of the Vikings. It was usually made of wood or derived from bones. With it you can achieve exceptionally strong cords and slightly elastic. To this was much used in the Middle Ages to create ropes suited to beautify the dress, or the ties for the sleeves, lacing corset or closure of sacks and bags.
ideal for knitted works enthusiasts, for old-fashioned craftsmen and those who want to enjoy the charms of the ancient techniques.
The format of the processed cord, depends on the size of the wire used, the finest silk to linen or other strong yarn.
The shape and color may vary slightly because this is a handmade object in raku technique.

5 out of 5 starsHonestly, any of Federico's artwork is worth owning. This lucet's handle is designed to fit either hand comfortably by merely flipping it around. Federico could have easily made it a straight handle. The colors are very nice too.

My third very unexpected purchase. My favorite nephew passed away and I was and still am in shock. I was given some of his ashes and wanted something for my desk. We worked together for 5 years and the sadness is overwhelming. This is a perfect size. Fits nicely on my desk and the yellow ( his power color ) brightens me up. I absolutely love what this talented potter has to offer. They are all beautiful.

I was so excited to receive this, unfortunately, when it arrived it was a much more muted blue than a turquoise color. It was absolutely not what I expected or what I had ordered. The picture of the item listed is much more vibrant than the actual product. Additionally, the product arrived two weeks later than the estimated time frame on Etsy. I would not recommend ordering from this company as the listing picture looks much better than the actual product.

The knitting bowl created by Federico is absolutely gorgeous. It was a gift for my sister-in-law and she was surprised and delighted when she opened the well packed package from Italy. Thank you, Federico; you’re a talented artist!
