Description

This is a set of 2 children's puzzles based on the animal characters of Thornton W. Burgess and illustrated by Harrison Cady, manufactured by the Madmar Quality Company in Utica, New York. Madmar manufactured puzzles from the 1920's to the 1960's. This set is circa 1920's and is copyrighted by the J. H. Eggers Company from 1924. The box cover and both of the enclosed puzzles are covers from cardboard issued books by them in 1924.

The box itself is in very good condition with minor bumping to the corners minor chipping. The paste on picture on cover has only minor damage and chipping as well. The picture on the front box top is that of one of the enclosed puzzles. The bottom of the box is complete and in very good condition with only minor wear. The two puzzles inside are complete and in very good condition with only minor wear. These puzzles are extremely hard to find in complete condition. The box measures 9.25 inches long and 6.5 inches wide.
