Description

Tiny pieces of history.... Vintage Glass Nailhead Beads

Nailhead beads were originally made to be sewn onto garments which is why they have flat backs. The fashion for using these beads on clothing ran from the end of the 19th century to the flapper dresses of the 1920s. The name nailhead refers to the shaping of these beads as they are circular and domed rather like a nail with a faceted top.

Today they might be used in sewing and craft projects, jewelry making, bead embroidery and you might also see them in mixed media and art journaling as embellishments. They are truly unique and lovely tiny pieces of glass.

The last photo is just to show you how beautiful they look when you make a piece of jewelry with them. The necklace is NOT included in this listing.

Choose the amount desired from the drop down menu :

25 grams, (approximately 100+ beads) - $7.95

50 grams, (approximately 200+ beads) - $14.95 (the first photo shows 50grams)

100 grams, (approximately 400+ beads) - $28

!! This is NOT an exact count of beads since there are some small and some large it's impossible to tell you how many will be in the order. I weigh them and you will receive a minimum of gram amount specified. This is just to give you a vague idea.

Each package has beads that range in sizes varying from 4mm to 9mm. (see photos)

Returns and exchange details

Typically all sales are Final unless we make an error. But that being said, I am a reasonable person and am happy to discuss any concerns you may have. My goal is for you to be more than satisfied with our transaction.

If you do have a problem with something you must contact me within 3 days of receiving your item and the item must be returned in it's original packaging and mailed back within 7 days of having received it. You will have to pay for postage to mail it back and will get a refund minus the shipping cost.
However, if I make a mistake, which does happen occasionally, I will pay for all shipping costs.

Please contact me if you are not happy with something BEFORE you leave me negative feedback. Although I'm new to Etsy I am NOT new to sales and have been selling items for over 15 years. I want both of us to be happy with the purchase.

Shipping policies

I use the USPS for shipping. First class mail allows you to track your package and you will receive the tracking number in an email WHEN the package is actually shipped. I "might" use a recycled box or padded envelope to ship your package as I'm really into re-using things that might normally go into a waste bin.
If you want your item ASAP, you have the opportunity to choose Priority mail when you check out.
Tracking automatically comes with Priority as well.

I am not responsible for items lost in the mail. If you don't have a secure mail box that can hold packages, please make arrangements to insure safe delivery of your package. Insurance on any item is buyer's responsibility and should be arranged with me BEFORE completion of sale. Please email me prior to paying if you choose to insure your item.

Etsy automatically combines shipping now and if the cost to you is over $1.00 off I will refund your excess payment back to you.

I will do my very best to get your items shipped within 24 hours of receiving your payment.

Additional policies

PACKAGING POLICIES:

I am happy to gift wrap your items. Please check "Gift Wrap" at time of payment. There is a $4 charge for this. You will also receive a beautiful hand made by me tag and if you message me I'm happy to write a personal note on it.

I attempt to use recycled/reused materials to mail out items, when it is feasible, as part of my personal belief in reducing waste and promoting "green" environmental business practices. I always keep in mind the need to insure that my goods arrive to you in excellent condition and I make every effort to insure that all goods are packaged to withstand the USPS.

Any recycled/reused materials that are used for packaging orders will always be clean and free of dirt, dust or residues.

I do not include invoices or receipts in order to keep paper waste to a minimum. You will receive an email copy of your order at the time of purchase which you can always print out if you need a copy for your records.

If you have any questions about anything at all, Please do not hesitate to contact me!
