Description
Nailhead beads were originally made to be sewn onto garments which is why they have flat backs. The fashion for using these beads on clothing ran from the end of the 19th century to the flapper dresses of the 1920s. The name nailhead refers to the shaping of these beads as they are circular and domed rather like a nail with a faceted top.
Today they might be used in sewing and craft projects, jewelry making, bead embroidery and you might also see them in mixed media and art journaling as embellishments. They are truly unique and lovely tiny pieces of glass.
The last photo is just to show you how beautiful they look when you make a piece of jewelry with them. The necklace is NOT included in this listing.
Choose the amount desired from the drop down menu :
25 grams, (approximately 100+ beads) - $7.95
50 grams, (approximately 200+ beads) - $14.95 (the first photo shows 50grams)
100 grams, (approximately 400+ beads) - $28
!! This is NOT an exact count of beads since there are some small and some large it's impossible to tell you how many will be in the order. I weigh them and you will receive a minimum of gram amount specified. This is just to give you a vague idea.
Each package has beads that range in sizes varying from 4mm to 9mm. (see photos)
