Why We Started Making Wool Dryer Balls.
When our boys were very little they all started having bouts of eczema. It started out as a few spots here and there, but eventually got worse. I researched all I could on how to prevent it or what was causing the sensitivity and the common thread to all their skin irritations were the toxic soap chemicals and synthetic fragrances. We started making homemade bath/bar soap, homemade laundry soap and experimenting with alternative dryer sheets. Within a week, all of their eczema had disappeared and I'm happy to report, it hasn't been back since!

What's So Bad About Dryer Sheets and Fabric Softener?
Besides being expensive, they contain toxic chemicals such as benzyl acetate, benzyl alcohol, chloroform and linalool, some of them being known carcinogens. They wreck havoc on the neurological system, respiratory system and the synthetic fragrances may cause severe skin irritations.

How Do They Work?
You add our felted wool balls to any size dryer load. They bounce around, absorbing moisture and allowing air to move about more freely through the laundry. The added movement creates softer clothes, while eliminating static and wrinkles. It also cuts your drying time in half, which saves you a ton of money on electricity!

How are they made?
We make our dryer balls with a recycled wool core and then wrap them with a 100% virgin wool yarn. Next, they are double felted {for added durability} and washed using our homemade, non toxic laundry soap. Finally, we give them a tumble in the dryer to finish the felting process.

How Long Will They Last?
Your dryer balls should last for years of continuous use. {Ours made it three years with a family of five. A faulty dryer finally did them in.}

Are Dryer Balls Safe for Cloth Diapers?
Absolutely! Unlike traditional dryer sheets, our dryer balls do not leave behind any residue.

How Many Should I Use?
We recommend using 3-6 balls for an average sized load of laundry and 6 + for extra large loads.

What if I want them scented?
Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil and let them air dry overnight.
