This hand blown glass ornament is made in my glass studio. I gather 2100 degree Fahrenheit molten glass onto a blow pipe where I add color, the ripples and blow it into the raindrop shape. At the end I add a dollop of molten glass to make the loop at the top. Each piece is annealed in a kiln where it slowly comes back down to room temperature. I can't see the final piece until the next day.

These raindrops look great in a window! This version comes in purple.

Each piece is individually hand made for you. There will be slight variation in shape and size. Each raindrop will be between 5 to 8 inches long.

Frequently asked questions about GoFetchGlass

The material I use to make the Galaxy Globes is a glow in the dark substance that will require charging by light and then taken into the dark. Unfortunately the sun sets too slowly to just hang the Galaxy Globe in the window or set outside and see it glow after sunset. However, if you hang the Galaxy Globe in a window or outside in proximity to a light it will glow when you turn off the light, after dark. The Galaxy Globe will also glow extremely bright if you have a UV (black light) shine on it.
