Description

***With this listing you are getting the physical copy of this zine.***

This zine intends to break down barriers and begin the discussion about Ableism, Sanism, and the marginalization of people with disabilities and mental illnesses through language. It also discusses ways in which we pathogalize bodies and behaviors through internalized ableism and how this perpetuates the status quo, abelism as a whole, and furthers the institutionalization and genocide on disabled and chronically ill bodies.

"This Not That" examines some of the most common ableist words, phrases, and concepts, and tells how they contribute to ableism and further Capitalism and White Supremacy. It also provides detail explanations on who these words, concepts, and phrases affect, and non-ableist/sanist alternatives that folks can use instead, in an attempt to begin to strip away the ableist language, and the rhetoric that comes with it, that we hold on to every day.

If you would like the PDF copy, you can get that here.
