Description

NOTE: This was printed in ABS with my Up! Mini 3D printer, so it is not the typical resin BJD. It is also a fully finished piece.

This is a 3D ball-jointed dragon that was designed by bqLabs for Thingiverse! They offer most of their designs, including this one, with a Creative Commons - Attribution - Share Alike license, which allows artists to remix, print, and sell the items they've designed with attribution. You can print one of these for yourself, by visiting this link: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:854575

This fierce, galaxy-colored dragon is 17" long from head to the tip of the tail! She was painted in Silks Acrylics, so there is a bit of shimmer to her skin in the light. Her eyes are blown glass, and she is coated in a clear gloss acrylic to help minimize fading of paint near the jointed areas. She has five internal 2mm elastic cords that attach her wings, legs, tail, head, and neck. She is a heavy beast, so it's difficult to get her in a standing pose, and it helps to prop her up using her wing tips. The wings themselves are far too heavy to stay up in the air on their own, so they need to be propped up somehow. Her jaw opens and closes.

The acrylics I used are high end, and excellent quality, however, there is still a possibility of fading on the joints of this beastie, especially on the wings joints, which were a lot rougher then the other areas. The whole piece has been sealed, but it would help to lift pieces slightly away from each other before trying to adjust them.

She's giving me a "How DARE you try to sell me?!" glare from my desk right now....

Etsy keeps your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.
Payment must be made within 3 days of purchase. If I have not received payment in 3 days, I will cancel the sale and relist the item. If you know you are going to need a little more time, let me know at the time of purchase and I can work with you.

Please understand that if you pay via e-check, it usually takes at least 5 days for the check to clear with Paypal, even if it shows up on your bank statement earlier. For safety purposes I cannot ship an item until the e-check clears with Paypal, and in fact, Paypal won't release the funds for shipping until it does.

In order to reduce waste and be “green,” I will not include an invoice with your order, unless you state in the “Message to Seller” that you would like one.

Returns & exchanges

I am not able to give refunds. I will, however, insure an item if you contact me ahead of the purchase, and that way if it is damaged in transit then you can be refunded by the post office.

Shipping policies

Within the US, we use USPS First Class Mail for small items and USPS Parcel Post or Priority Mail for larger items. Outside the US, I use First Class Mail International or Priority Mail International. Contact me prior to purchase if you need to purchase a faster delivery method or insurance, and I will create a custom order for you.

I ship within 1-3 business days of purchase unless otherwise stated in the listing, as is the case with the Made to Order items.

I am not responsible for lost or damaged items once your items have been shipped. If you want to purchase insurance, contact me first for a quote. I am not responsible for customs or duties that may be charged for international purchases. Tracking is only available on international packages up until the package departs the US postal service.

Additional policies

All of my glassware is priced based upon the design difficulty rather than the size of an item. Therefore, you may see the same bottle with a different design at two different prices. Please keep in mind design difficulty when requesting a custom item. Words are thin and harder to cut, so they usually add to the price, as do small details, and skinny lines. Plus, accoutrements added to the bottle's neck will also add to the price.
