Description

Adorn your outfits with this retro-style, sea-shell garland, and adopt a suitably salty pose.

Real shells are securely woven into golden threaded wire to create a very pretty, eye catching necklace. Perfect to embellish summer styles or beachwear.

And, yo ho yo ho, go a little bit pirate-y...

Did you also know... shell beads are the oldest form of jewellery known, in the world, dating back over 100,000 years. The beads, made from shells of the sea snail Nassarius gibbosulus, were discovered at Skhul in Israel, and were recently dated to between 100,000 and 135,000 years ago.
Similar ornaments have been discovered at a number of Middle Paleolithic sites, and are considered a key piece of evidence for the theory that early anatomically modern humans in Africa and the Levant were more culturally sophisticated than had previously been thought!

Total chain length 80cm (therefore 'drop' 40cm).
