A classic piece of West German pottery, produced by Scheurich in the 1960s. This strong design features a striking series of dark circles in a crusty ‘lava’ glaze and a contrasting spiral of foamy white on top of a bed of rich, earthy brown. An iconic piece of West German design! The kind of shape and pattern that Scheurich did best and this vase is a really nice, practical size for use or decoration in the home. Marked on the base ‘W. Germany 203-26’.
Height – 26.5cm / 10.5”
Width: 9.5cm / 3.6”
This vase is in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or damage of any kind. Just the usual very small firing imperfections that come with this style of pottery. A really great example!
