Description

That's right! Send me your Chemo Port! After you, your friend, or loved one has completed the chemotherapy part of their cancer journey, I, a cancer survivor myself, will joyfully make a custom One-Of-A-Kind quirky eclectically beautiful piece of jewelry that only you/they will know what it is - unless, of course, you choose to share your story when someone compliments that gorgeous necklace you're wearing! :-)

Chemo ports (port-a-caths) are typically made of high dollar precision machined titanium and have a clear rubberized center that closely resembles a Moonstone. They pair beautifully with combinations of Czech glass beads, freshwater pearls, hematite, or other stones or metals depending on which looks best with your particular style port. They all have a protrusion at the top where the tubing was once attached and I usually cap that off with a small bird or similar.

You'll LOVE this OOAK piece of jewelry that allows us to privately or outwardly celebrate and express the journey we've been on, the courage and inner peace we gained along the way, and the strength that carries us forward.

Each piece is custom. I can make yours as necklace only, or with a pair of coordinating earrings.

PRIOR to placing an order, please FIRST send me a Conversation via Etsy accompanied by a good photo of your port so that I can determine if it is indeed one that can be turned into jewelry. If so, NEXT you will send the port to me. After discussing your favorite colors and materials (preferably by phone, but can also exchange emails) I will THEN send photos of a variety of beads that pair well or suit your personality and tastes to make sure you're happy with the selections. And LASTLY, your unique piece of jewelry will be created - just for YOU! Please allow 3-4 weeks for this OOAK piece.

xoxo,
Candice

p.s.- If you have a purple port, I recently had the honor of making a necklace out of one of those! It was a custom listing so it is "sold out", but you can still access it if you'd like to see how pretty the purple ones can be. :-) Just click on this link and scroll to the bottom to see photos.

I am 99.9% sure you'll be very happy with your purchase, but should you find it is not to your liking, I will take returns up to 14 days after delivery, provided the items are in the same new/unused condition and packaging. Unfortunately, original shipping charges cannot be refunded. You will need to contact me first and you will be responsible for return postage. Upon receipt/inspection of returned items, I will glady issue a refund via Etsy.

Shipping policies

I list 1-2 days for items to begin shipment, but will make every effort to mail them sooner, or same day whenever possible.

Each item is carefully packed in its very own box that is perfect and ready for gift giving. Most listings show an example of what the box might look like in the last photo.

Gift boxes have a fun and earthy look to them. They are typically "paper bag" brown, purple, red, or available color that is complementary to the item(s) you purchase, and filled with crinkle cut stuffing. I frequently tie them with bright green paper ribbon that looks like a blade of grass. Faith inspired, holiday, or school spirit items will usually have their own unique ribbon or bow that is also sure to please. A small "festive." gift tag is included with each item so that you can write something to your recipient on the inside.
