An ART BEAR vignette created for the 2009 Teddy Bear Artists' Invitational in Binghamton, NY. (This show raises $$ for endangered animal species and the Ross Park Zoo in Binghamton through the art bear show\/sale.) The theme for this year was "Name That Tune". Since I'm "old", I chose Duke Ellington's piece that I felt glorifies most music themes. I tend to enjoy Big Band and the Old Standards.

This piece is created from vintage mohair upholstery fabric. The man bear is 16 inches tall; the gal bear is 14 inches tall. The base is wooden, with Big Band motif for the dance floor along with mosaics and beads in the center. Each bear piece has armature for posing, hands and fingers (!!), unique costuming, leather shoes. A OOAK piece to be sure. My FAVORITE creation as of right now!

This art bear item is for ADULT collectors only and is NOT intended for children!
