Handmade Halloween Witch doll folk art polymer clay sculpted one of a kind original art doll
Hi! I made 3 of these, they are all totally handmade by me and are all my original design. These 3 will be similar, but definitely not identical! This listing is for one witch. This witchy lady is Florine.(These are actually named after my husband's wonderful aunts, Hilda, Beatrice, and Florine and just let me say they were definitely not witches!...well Hilda was a total character, but I loved her the most!) I think she has the sweetest face of the 3..a sweet witch! I hand sculpted her head of polymer clay, baked and painted it. She has black glass eyes. She has a wire armature body with a wooden dowel spine. Her arms and legs are gently poseable. Her hands and head can swivel. She has hand sculpted polymer shoes and can stand, but her broom helps her keep her balance (she's an old woman..give her a break!) I wrapped the wire armature with batting and muslin strips. Her legs are wrapped with red and white striped fabric strips for suitably witchy stockings! She has a weighted bottom and could be made to sit.Her clothes are not removeable except her hat and broom. Her skirt is vintage black velvet with an unfinished hemline. Her hat is handmade from the same black velvet and has a black felt brim. It also has a photo medallion of her "former self" and her name is scripty text on the brim. Her bodice is vintage black sateen and she has taffetta ribbon bindings on her arms and a sash at her waist. Around her neck she wears a bit of wonderful antique lace. She stands 16" tall shoe tips to hat tip or a bit over 12" tall without her hat. Her hat is removeable and underneath she wears a vintage homespun blue and white checked headscarf..when she transforms from lovely girl to witch she loses all her hair! Her broom is handmade too! I made it from pine needles with a twig handle and copper wire wrapping. It is quite fresh in this picture, but will dry to a more broom-like sagey-tan color. Her hands are also handsculpted and grasp her broom..its not attached. She has finger wrinkles and even fingernails. Since these are folk art handmade originals, there may still be a finger print on her face or hands her or there. Dolls are actually my favorite thing to make and I hope to list more non witchy ones. She is all ready to come to your home and live! These take hours to make and as they are some of the first I'm listing I am trying to keep my prices low. Please ask any questions. Please check my other items and my vintage site, hopeandjoyhome. Thanks for looking and send a friend! Julia
