This is a 2-piece set. The classic bias-cut 1930s evening gown is in royal blue rayon, with subtle sparkle threads woven through. Front has a V-neck with gathered shoulders that narrow into straps that criss-cross the upper back. The matching long-sleeved jacket closes with 2 large rhinestone-studded buttons.

Size - very small. Measured flat, this dress is 31" in the bust and 32" in the hips. Bias cut dresses are meant to stretch (up to a point) for a revealing, slinky fit. My mannequin has a 33" bust and 34.5" hips and as you see in the photos, it's very snug on her.

Compare your own measurements to this mannequin to visualize how this dress would fit you. You should be a little smaller than 33" bust and 34.5" hips - even if you prefer a very tight fit - so you can get it on. This dress pulls on over your head and shoulders - it has no side opening with zipper or hooks. Length is 48" from the underarm to the hem. The bottom of the dress ripples nicely in that bias way. For the right lady, this dress is a real stunner!

The dress is in very good condition in that there are no holes, tears, odors, or stains. However with any dress from the 30s - considering the age of the fabric and the dyes used at the time - there is bound to be some uneven coloring. This dress has numerous areas where the color looks a bit lavender - most of these areas are very subtle and blend in with the way the dress shimmers and drapes.

Insurance (and package tracking, where available) is included in the price.
