A pretty scarf featuring a highly-textured lace pattern which extends to all edges, creating beautifully irregular selvedges and hems. Left unblocked, the lace will be more deeply textured with less openwork. A great stitch pattern to feature fine handspun yarn.
May be worked in finer yarn on smaller needles; doing so will result in a narrower version. Width may be added by increasing stitch count in increments of 13 sts.

Finished Size: 7.5” W x 39” L (blocked)
Yarn requirements: approximately 300 yards of soft fingering weight yarn; this pattern would work well with The Painted Sheep's Painted Sock Too (fingering weight) or Jasmine (lace weight for a narrower, lighter scarf) or even Shimmer (sport weight for a heavier scarf)
Gauge: 26 sts and 34 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch (unblocked; fabric will be relaxed)
Needles: US size 6 (4mm) or size to obtain gauge; a needle with a slender, tapered point is highly recommended

This beautiful pattern was designed by Anne Hanson of Knitspot.

The pattern is delivered as a full color hard copy with a protective sleeve.

The Painted Sheep is an authorized retailer of Knitspot patterns.
