Once upon a time a you girl was walking in the forest became hopelessly lost. Lamenting her fate, a dove came to her carrying golden key. It told her to unlock a tree, and inside she found food. Later that evening it brought her another key which unlocked a tree with a bed. She lived like this for many days, until one day the dove asked her to do something for it. She agreed. It told her to go to a house and go in. An old woman would greet her but she should not answer; she should open an inner door which will reveal a room full of splendid rings but she should take a plain one.

The old woman was quite angry, but the girl did not heed her. Then, when she could not see the plain ring, she saw the old woman trying to carry off a bird cage. She took the bird cage away from her; it held a bird which held the plain ring in its beak. She took it outside and waited against a tree. Two branches turned into arms about her as the tree turned into a handsome man who kissed her and told her that the witch had turned him into a tree, and for two hours a day, a dove, and she had freed him. All his attendants turned back from trees as well, and he being a king's son, they went to his father's kingdom, were married and lived happily ever after ...

This special necklace has been created especially for autumn. Look closely and you will see all the parts of the story...

The central pendant pendant holds the image of the enchanted Prince embracing his true love, the spell broken at last. The image is encased under glass for a quality and enduring finish. The main pendant is about 3cm tall, not including the embellishments that hang beneath.

Hanging beneath the pendant is the little dove along with a tiny golden crown, a clue to his true identity. In the centre hangs a gorgeous, highly detailed squirrel eating a little acorn. A forest friend.

The main pendant is flanked on either side by gold plated leaves. This are highly detailed and patterned on both sides.

The necklace is 19 inches in length and fastens with a gold plated trigger clasp. The doves little golden key can be found hanging next to the clasp on a golden chain.

To see what an 19 inch chain would look like on you try cutting a piece of string to that length and holding it around your neck. It hangs mid-length on most necks.

I can increase the chain length by one or two inches for an extra $2. Please contact me (before purchase if possible) if you would like to take this option.

Care Instructions: This piece is water resistant but it is not waterproof. Please do not submerge it in water, wear it in the shower, etc.

This necklace has a wonderful weight to it and is perfect for dressing up a casual outfit or as a focal point for that special outfit. For for an Autumn Princess!

Necklace length: 19 inches
Materials: All brass and gold plated elements. Glass encases the central image.
