Wheel thrown and hand carved salad or dessert size plate. This is from a series I call Pattern Recognition. The pattern was inspired by combining circuit board and topography maps. I carved the pattern into the plate, front and back, then stamped in numbers using the keys from a manual typewriter, mimicking binary code and altitude notations. Carving was filled in with underglaze, then scraped off creating an inlaid texture.

Plate measures 7 1\/4" in diameter. Matte and satin glazes in gold, brown and cream. Inlaid pattern is dark blue and black.

All of my ceramic pieces are wheel thrown and\/or hand crafted, signed and numbered. I use only commercial food grade glazes so all work is food and dishwasher safe. All functional pieces except those with metal can be used in a microwave.

Ships USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation in the US; First Class Mail International. See my Policies page for details.
