Kapok is a natural fiber harvested from the seed pods of the kapok tree in the South Pacific. Kapok seed pods look like giant milkweed pods - this is the fluff.

The fiber is often used in furniture upholstery and meditation cushions because it's hypoallergenic and packs down firmly. It also works well as a plush toy stuffing because it's bouncy and resists clumping better than most cotton and polyester stuffing. It's water resistant and bounces back to its original shape after washing.

This kapok is naturally spun and air-cleaned, but still contains some natural dust. It's a natural, sustainably harvested product.

One half pound is enough kapok to stuff a 10*10 inch pillow quite snugly, or stuff lots of plush toys.
