This spiritual victorian portrait which dates in the early 1900's has been integrated into some of the most delicate and fancy filigree I have seen. THe sheer size of this double sided pendant ( 4 1/2" x 3 1/2") along with the thick ( 1/2" wide) double antiqued brass chain creates a very dramatic one of a kind necklace. Tiny sparkling czech garnets dance around the antique center piece. Layers of antiqued brass frame the original antique madonna in the portrait and above her head is a tiny fan shaped crown of filigree brass. Hanging from this are tiny faceted glass garnet colored beads and two antique pendulums. The great thing about this ( besides its beauty) is that fact you can wear it reversed with the backside filigree showing. The shortest chain is 22" and at the end are tiny half moons. The clasp is marked west Germany. Bringing vintage pieces to life again by combining the old and new is what makes these romantic pieces stand apart.
