AND THE WINNER IS......

How many uses or re purposes can you come up with for these trophies??? Here's our list: bric a brac, door stops, bookends, candle holders, bedside lamps

Eye catching design is the hallmark of these trophies, awarded for the 1939 North American Bridge Championships. The tiered base is Bakelite with a brass band stating, "Teams of Four 1939 Abilene, Texas". The top has an antique bronze finish. It begins with a laurel wreath on top of which is a very ornate leveled cuff encircling a woman's hand holding 13 playing cards.

The measurements are: 8 3\/4" tall, 4 1\/2" wide.

They were manufactured by the Dodge Trophy Company, Los Angeles who, by the way, had the distinction of making the Oscar statuettes from 1930 to 1983. Hmm, just think, these trophies shared shipping warehouse space with Vivien Leigh's Gone With The Wind Oscar!
