This is a vintage rag doll that has two heads, one on each end. I think they were called topsy turvy dolls. This one is in good condition. I did soak the skirt a bit to remove a discoloration, but did not launder the doll. There may be just the slightest remnant of a tannish spot on the lighter skirt side.

The doll is about 13" in size and it appears that it was sewn by hand and also by machine. The face on the black doll is embroidered by hand. The yarn was applied to the heads by hand. The doll has a white character end and a black character end. The white doll face is painted and has a clear plastic covering for some reason, perhaps to keep it clean?

The black doll has a striking appearance with the beautiful red, green, and brown tropical foliage fabric. Her skirt is very full, and she will display beautifully.
