This camera was one of a series of metal body 120 box cameras manufactured by Pho-Tak, an American camera company out of Chicago in the 1950's. My version of the Traveler must have been an older version because mine is not flash compatible. At least I can still use it because it takes 120 black and white film. I'm still waiting to see what kind of photos come out of this metal dinosaur.

This camera is one in my series of linoleum letterpress prints of vintage cameras. Each of the prints in this series is inspired by cameras in my personal collection and is painstakingly carved by hand at life size with as much detail as my tools and the linoleum will allow. I then typeset the name of the camera in Cheltingham Condensed 18pt. and printed each on an antique Vandercook proofing press on 80lb. Cougar natural (off white) paper in black ink.

The printed area measures approximately 4 3/8" x 4 1/8" (not including type) on 8 1/2" x 11" paper.

If you are interested in purchasing multiples or samplings of any of my prints please convo me first so that I can reserve a collection with adjusted shipping for you. All prints will be signed and will be shipped flat with insurance.
