♥♥♥ Chanukkah has just gotten more fun! ♥♥♥

This Chanukkalender (Chanukkah + Kalender, all in German spelling) counts along through eight nights, as each of the cotton pouches bears an illustration of the Chanukkiah with the exact number of candles lit up.

On Chanukkah, the festival of lights, we light candles during eight nights to remember the miracle of the oil {read more about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanukkah}.

On eight nights, we talk, play games, and exchange small gifts while we're sitting together with family and friends. So, especially for children, this is a time of year when for a whole week, there's a little surprise waiting each evening - how cool is that?

ABOUT THE CHANUKKALENDER
°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°
You shall receive a Channukkalender consisting in eight small pouches (appr. 3.5" x 5.1"), one large pouch, and eight hand-cut paper ornaments.

The pouches are made from natural-white, unbleached cotton. Each little pouch bears a Chanukkiah illustration indicating which night it is.

HOW TO DECORATE?
°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°
Decorate the pouches and ornaments as shown on the instructions I'll include for you, or just as your heart desires.
The ornaments display the Hebrew letters Nun, Gimel, Hey, Shin and Peh, as well as two dreidels and one magen david (Star of David).

Depending on whether you're in Israel or the Galut, you'll choose either Shin or Peh to go on display (like on dreidels!):

"Nes Gadol Hayah Sham" {נס גדול היה שם}

or

"Nes Gadol Haya Po" {נס גדול היה פה}

WHAT TO PUT IN?
°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°
Here are some ideas for you:

☞ a small gift for one of the nights
☞ Chanukkah gelt - a night's supply for the dreidel game
☞ a thoughtful quote
☞ a sweet treat: homemade Chanukkah sweets

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°
* The pouches should be washed cold, turned inside-out, ideally without rubbing them, and using only a mild detergent and NO bleach.
* Do NOT put them in the dryer.
* Dry flat, iron cold while turned inside-out.

* When not in use, store the pouches in the large one, so that there will be a happy counting-down on all the days again in the coming year!

IS THIS A GIFT?
°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°
Gift purchases will be wrapped with extra super care, and a notecard will be included (Hebrew is also possible! Don't be shy!).
If you want to personalize the card, please leave instructions in the "note to seller" when you complete the purchase of this item.
