This listing is for one wall hanging ceramic branch from my on-going “Harvest” series. The “Harvest” is composed of over a hundred different branches of flowering plants and fruit trees. The idea for this installation originated from my childhood memories of harvesting various goods such as legumes, herbal teas, onions and garlic, and drying them, bundled up in countless bunches, underneath the eaves of our farm house.

Each piece is sculpted by hand out of thin slabs of low fire clay, covered by multiple coats of colored clay slips (engobes) and treated with a variety of oxide and glaze washes. While there might be few areas where glaze has pooled creating a reflective surface, overall appearance of these pieces is matt and rustic.

The dimensions of this piece are: 8 x 4 1/2 x 3 1/2"
