When I take a break from basketry, I love to fiddle with other materials.
I have made baskets out of herbs, tiles, bark and pine needles.
I have made trivets by coiling fabric and machine sewing...but....
here is my latest:
Driftwood!

This trivet measures roughly 11 inches by 11 inches, but this is not exact.
It has a slightly irregular shape....on purpose.
The last photo shows the underside bottom.
I have photographed the trivet with a fresh orange so that you can more easily gauge the size.

It has been finished with a light spray of clear coat varnish for protection.

How wonderfully beachy!

Want a driftwood basket to go with that?

My diversions last only a short time, so these driftwood items are offered in a limited quantity.
