Here's a trim 1946 McCall design - a seven gore skirt with a stitched pleat and vent at center front. A classic and tailored look, not too narrow (hem width about 58-1/2") but definitely not frilly. No nonsense.

Waist 24"
Hip 33"

The pattern is carefully cut and complete. There's a tiny hole in the instruction sheet (just larger than a pinhole). Part of the envelope flap is torn off and there are some small edge tears, but on the whole, in very nice shape for its 60-odd years.

McCall 6746, 1940s 7-gore skirt with front pleat
