This necklace was inspired by the ideas of Peace and the Winter Olympics. What a great combination! Peace in the winter is just the right approach to the holidays. The peacefulness of the first snowfall, blanketing and softening the slumbering earth. The peace, within the hustle and hassle of parties and shopping and cooking that it is sometimes so difficult to find. And the Olympic Games? I love contests where jewelry is the prize!

Put this medal around your neck, and let it remind you to allow peace to be part of your life, both in big important worldly ways, and in the tiny things that bring joy to the eyes of those you love.

Icy and calm lavenders, pale clear blues and hints of fuschia are the perfect antidote to stress and chaos. I featured two Russian charoite oval cabochons and a Swarovski light vitrail rivoli csystal, with a serpentine accent in various shapes and colors of Swarovski crystals and tanzanite chips. The beadwoven pendant hangs on an 18" satin jacard ribbon, and closes with a bali sterling silver hook clasp.
