All of our pieces are 100% authentic vintage or antique, we do NOT sell reproductions or copies. Wonderfully detailed 14k yellow gold (slightly pinkish hue) Taille D'Epargne (aka black enamel tracery) brooch pin or necklace pendant with three seed pearl accents. Measures 2-1/2" x 1-1/8". Very detailed vermicelli engraving with a raised half barrel shaped design in the center, riveted on from behind. Two tear drop tassels are cleverly attached by a half round ball and individual chain links that wrap up behind the brooch, and thread forward onto the barrel shaped front, and are actually incorporated into the design. With scroll leaf elements and raised bead work accents. Original tube hinge, pin stem clasp has been replaced. Bail hook at the top so that it can also be worn as a pendant. Weighs 6.3 grams. Typical of the majority of authentic antique Victorian jewels (particularly hand crafted pieces such as this), the piece is not gold hallmarked, but it has been carefully tested to guarantee minimum 14K solid gold content/quality. In outstanding extremely well babied condition, including the enamel, circa 1890. STUNNING!
