The first known bookplate dates back to the mid-fifteenth century. For over 500 years this tradition has provided book owners the means to identify their treasures.

When I'm bored, I create new bookplates for myself using old book covers and/or turn-of-the-century art. So far, I've made nearly 50 of them (visit my website to see more: www.davidburkam.com). Here are some of my favorites available for order.

Set of 18 personalized bookplates. Printed on Epson heavyweight matte paper. Size varies slightly with design, but most are approximately 2 1/2 inches by 3 inches.

In keeping with the old traditions, these are not pre-gummed or peel'n'stick. A book plate looks best when it is "tipped in" to the page -- a narrow band of glue across the top is all that is needed. An acid-free glue stick works great!

Just tell me which one of the 20 styles you want and the name you want printed.

Send me a convo if you are interested in a larger order!

And if you have an idea for a special image or look that you'd like made into a bookplate, feel free to contact me! SPECIAL DESIGN ORDERS ALWAYS WELCOME.
