This is an incredible find!

We reconstructed this quilt from an original quilt from the 1930's. The top is made from many cotton prints from the era hand-stitched onto a foundation fabric, and embellished with black feather-stitching around each piece in the traditional style. In order to rescue this beautiful quilt the backing and the batting were removed and replaced with new 100% wool batting and new reproduction fabric for the backing. The black yarn ties were all replaced, and the quilt-top itself was patched where needed with new reproduction fabric patches. The original beauty of this quilt was painstakingly preserved and the integrity and soft quality of its age remain.

This quilt measures 66" x 84" (168cm x 213cm) and would fit a full-size bed, or it could be used as a coverlet on a queen-sized bed. It is pictured here on a queen-sized bed.
