This print is titled "Scout I" and it belongs to a series of work inspired by George Orwell's Animal Farm where animals displaced by suburbs are plotting to take their land back. Here is a little mouse that I found eavesdropping on a conversation several weeks ago.

The technique for the print is mezzotint. (For more information on mezzotints you can read this article:

The images show the paper size and a picture of the print close up.

*NOTE* The print in the picture was not signed at the time of photography, but don't worry all prints for sale in the shop are signed and editioned before they go out into the world. This ended up being an edition of 20 prints.

The paper size is 7"x6" and the print itself measures about 3 1/2" in diameter. The mezzotint plate is printed on white thick printmaking paper with a warm black ink.

All prints are shipped flat in clear plastic sleeves with a little slip that has a short artist bio and statement about the piece. Window mats are available for the prints as separate items in the store. With a mat and backer added, the prints will be ready to be placed in frames and on a wall as soon as they arrive.
