These two 10-inch hoops (sold together) are hand embroidered with an illustration of the dangers of wearing a corset. The first piece is the classical body, and the second piece is the Victorian body mutilated by the restrictive nature of the corset. As far as I can find, the original illustration is from the 1920s and can be found in a book by Dr. David H. Keller, Cadillac Publishing Co. However, the faces are done in the Victorian style.
